Terms of Use

By using Hashdesk, you agree to use the service lawfully, responsibly and only with information you are authorised to process. Last updated 16 September 2026.

Educational service

Hashdesk generates SHA-256 values and performs exact-match searches against its stored dictionary. It does not decrypt SHA-256 and does not guarantee that any hash will have a matching entry.

Your responsibility

You must have the right or permission to submit and search the information you use. You must not use Hashdesk to obtain unauthorised access, compromise another person’s account, expose confidential information, infringe legal rights, or facilitate illegal activity.

Public retrievability

Saved text may be returned to another visitor who searches for its matching hash. You are responsible for ensuring that submissions contain no secrets or personal information.

Availability and accuracy

The service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, permanent storage or complete lookup results. Do not rely on Hashdesk as a password manager, credential store, backup system or proof of identity.

Moderation

Entries and access may be removed or restricted where necessary for safety, legal compliance, service protection or policy enforcement. Automated or abusive traffic, attempts to inflate advertising activity and interference with the service are prohibited.
